The Persian Gulf in Old Maps
All you see in this blog is from one of the books of Sahab G.D.I that called "Persian Gulf in Old Maps"; There are selected maps of The Persian Gulf throughout history in it.
Here is a short text of "Persian Gulf in Old Maps":
One of the oldest maps, which show a drawing of the Persian Gulf, is a clay tablet which shows the Babylonian world and its periphery. This document, which is thousands of years old, proves that the whole known world at that time did not go beyond the limited region of the Tigris and Euphrates and their peripheral waters (Persian Gulf). With the passage of time and the evolution of cities, the role and significance of the Persian Gulf increased.
